Tell me more about U3A
The University of the Third Age was founded in Toulouse France in 1972
and is now practiced world wide.
In 1984 the first Australian U3A groups were
formed in Melbourne.
They quickly spread throughout
Victoria and within five years to every
State & Territory, developing as
a voluntary self help organisation.
However many Universities, TAFE
institutions, Schools, community
education groups and local councils
have supported U3A by making
class rooms, offices and other
resources available.
