U3A Baw Baw meet monthly, usually on every 2nd Tuesday at the Wesley Centre, Warragul.

Tell me more about U3A! The University of the Third Age (U3A) was founded in Toulouse, France in 1972 and is now practiced world wide. In 1984, the first Australian U3As were formed in Melbourne. They quickly spread throughout Victoria and within five years to every State & Territory, developing as a voluntary, self - help organisations. However, many universities, TAFE institutions, schools, community education groups and local councils have supported U3As by making class rooms, offices and other resources available. Who can join u3a Baw Baw? Anyone in the "third age" who has retirement intentions in furthering their knowledge.
How much does it cost? $30.00 per year for membership (from July 1st to June 30th) with courses being free of charge. There may be small additional charges for some courses or activities, excursions, craft materials, or the use of technical equipment.
Where do you meet and how often? The venue for our courses and meetings is at the Wesley Centre, Victoria Street, Warragul. We generally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 2pm.
What type of courses are on offer? A selection of courses that we offer include; Film appreciation, Italian, Histories (eg. Australian, European, Ancient, Technologies), Philosophy, Scrabble, Art appreciation, and Memoir writing. Full details of this terms courses can be viewed here.

Do I need any qualifications to participate? No qualifications are required just your general interest.
